Pumpkin Carving

Ella was Minnie Mouse for Halloween, so I found a Minnie Mouse pattern online that I thought would be cute (but also really hard) to carve our pumpkin into for Halloween this year. Scott hates carving the pumpkin, so Ella and I were supposed to do it while he was at football practice. Ella was excited about carving the pumpkin to look like Minnie Mouse, but just before we were going to get started, I asked if she was sure that's what she wanted. I told her we could find something else, and she decided to look for a different pattern on the computer. She decided on a moon & stars pattern that was so much easier.
As soon as Ella got started gutting the pumpkin, she realized how messy it was and decided she didn't want any part of helping with the pumpkin, so I ended up almost everything myself. Here are some pictures from the beginning of the process, before she realized how yucky everything was!

Here are our finished pumpkins. The carved one on the left, and our 'cheater' Minnie Mouse on the right!
