Our Little Swimmer

Ella had swimming lessons for the past two weeks and absolutely loved it! The kids in the class were 3-5 years old and there were 8 kids total, 6 boys, 2 girls. She and the other little girl, Emily, became good friends. Girls have to stick together, right? Almost every day one of the boys in the class decided he did not like the water or did not want to participate. Ella and Emily were in the water everyday doing everything their instructor, Miss Katie asked them to do. They both loved the class and had a blast.
During class they learned how to blow bubbles in the water ~ a big help because Ella always used to swallow lake water! They also started learning to float on their back, kick, scoop water, fall like a tree, and other basics to get them used to the water and ready to swim.
Ella was very assertive during class, always wanting to be first during every task, or wanting to do everything "again", even if they were only going to do something once. She is the complete opposite of my personality. She definitely takes after Scott and her grandmothers in the assertiveness department!

Ella "floating"

The class singing "Ring Around the Rosie". They did this at the end of every session, and were supposed to go under water when they "all fall down".

The last day was pool safety & award day

Ella & Emily ~ We're planning on going swimming at Emily's sometime very soon! Notice they are they same size ~ Emily is almost a whole year older than Ella :)
