Sorry, I have been slacking on the posts lately. September has been a bit boring, and then Ella got sick, and then I got sick and I still have a cough I am trying to get rid of. The most excitement we've had around here is all of this rain. Yes, we need the rain, but does need to come all at once, for 9 days straight? I think it's a bit excessive. I heard on the news that lake came up 3 feet in 3 days. Crazy! I'm glad we don't live in the midst of all that flooding they keep showing on TV.
They cancelled school today because the buses couldn't get some of the kids home from school yesterday due to the flooding in our county, so the kids and teachers (Scott included!) had to use one of their inclement weather days that are normally used for snow/ice. Bummer. Oh well. It ended up being a beautiful day, around 80 degrees and plenty of sunshine! And I don't think there is much more rain in the forecast for the next few days at least...
