Mother's Day

This year my Mother's Day began at 5 AM, with Ella coming in and informing me that she wanted to get in my bed. Not exactly the way I pictured Mother's Day starting. So I gave her two options - SLEEP in my bed, or go back to her room. We were NOT watching tv at 5 AM on Mother's Day. She slept off and on in my bed while I was sandwiched between her and Scott until around 6:30 - no sleeping in around here!

Scott's Grandma Marlene is in town visiting for awhile, so after our very early morning we all met up for church and then the moms (mine and Scott's) had made reservations for everyone a few weeks ago at a winery in Dahlonega ~ about 1/2 hour north of us ~ for brunch. The food was really good and it was beautiful there. Here are a few pictures of the group that I took while we were there.

Scott was outside entertaining the girls when I took most of these pictures, so there are no pictures of him...

The rest of the day included naps for Ella, Scott and I since we were all up SO early, then we went over to Scott's parents for a casual BBQ that the guys took care of so the women didn't have to do much. A pretty nice day overall.

My REAL Mother's Day present is tomorrow, though ~ I took the day off and my mom and I are going to the spa. I can't wait!!!
